GroceryAid Achievement Awards 2015 Gold Winner

The Achievement Awards programme has now come to the end of its eighth year and GroceryAid is delighted to announce that Bestway Group has been recognised with the prestigious accolade of a Gold Achievement Award.

This award recognises the exceptional commitment and support that Bestway have given during the past year.

In particular, we are delighted that Bestway supported GroceryAid at their annual Charity Race Day at Ascot which not only raised much needed funds but also awareness of the charity and our work.

The Gold Award recognises the continuing contribution Bestway have made in supporting our national and regional events. In particular, they supported the Sporting Heroes Luncheon and the annual Diamond Ball. They have also provided assistance to our regional branches and supported the North East & York branch Valentine’s Ball. Bestway continue to raise awareness of the GroceryAid Helpline throughout the company and help with our welfare work.

The Achievement Awards are designed to bring recognition and thanks to all companies that support the charity. This year’s awards have really shown how support can come in many different forms. Many more companies are helping by joining one of the GroceryAid committees, taking part in fundraising events, supporting local branches or making a charitable donation. All of this support is taken into account when the Judges decide on Achievement Award winners.

During 2015 GroceryAid has seen businesses across the industry pull together to drive their fundraising activities and offer support in every possible capacity. Gillian Barker, GroceryAid Director General comments; “It is only with the help of companies in the industry that we are able to raise much-needed funds for grocery people in need. My sincere thanks go to everyone at Bestway Group for your continued support of GroceryAid, and for the financial contribution you have made to help us achieve this. I am very grateful that you have chosen to support your industry charity in this way.”

Now in their ninth year, the GroceryAid Achievement Awards are our way of giving public recognition to companies, large or small, who actively support the charity in both ordinary and extraordinary ways.
