Bestway Wholesale strikes gold at FWD Awards
Bestway Wholesale was among the winners at last night's Federation of Wholesale Distributor Gold Medal Awards at Old Billingsgate in the City of London.
Scooping the Delivered Depot Manager Gold Medal Award was John Attwater of Bestway Wholesale’s Chilled Distribution Centre in Coventry while Tottenham General Manager Ghufran Ashraf collected the Gold Medal award for Depot Team of the Year.
Judges congratulated John on his organisational and planning skills in addition to driving Bestway’s mission to helping retailers develop their chilled offer by offering Best-one members a first class service in chilled and fresh foods and de-risking the chilled category.
Ghufran Ashraf’s team at Tottenham were also applauded for their dedication to their 1600 customers and their continual pursuit of excellence in customer service. Such is their commitment to customers, 91% of visitors would recommend Bestway Tottenham to friends and peers.
Other shortlisted Bestway nominees were Eugene Mulroy of Batleys Liverpool - which won Asian Trader Depot of the Year earlier this week - and Steve Wilkie, General Manager of Batleys Glasgow.
